Education

  • DVM (2006), ROSBIOTECH (former Moscow State University of Applied Biotechnology)
  • Ph.D. (2009), ROSBIOTECH (former Moscow State University of Applied Biotechnology)
  • Post Doctorate (2024), The College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, The Ohio State University

Research interests

  • Porcine infectious diseases, particularly those caused by Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV), Porcine Circoviruses (PCV2 and PCV3), Classical Swine Fever Virus (CSFV), Rotaviruses (RVA, RVB, RVC), and Influenza A Virus (IAV).
  • His work focuses on disease surveillance programs, virus isolation, molecular and biological characterization of viral strains and vaccine development—including recombinant subunit, inactivated, and live-attenuated vaccines.
  • Exploring host-pathogen interactions using novel approaches such as organoids, reverse genetics and transcriptome analysis.
  • Currently working on the development of autogenous vaccines targeting major porcine respiratory pathogens.
  • Outside the lab, his interests include running, literature, and hiking.
