New Library Items

In 2022-2023, our focus was to continue updating our core collection by purchasing new editions of veterinary and human medicine textbooks. We added many new items on veterinary nursing and veterinary technicians. Additionally, we shifted part of our focus to intersectionality and inclusion texts on topics like men's mental health, LGBTQ+ health information, race relations within medical fields, etc. Finally, we ended our purchasing year by focusing on creating a new children's collection full of materials that are veterinary medicine and animal related. These items range from fun, whimisical story books to information for children who want to become a veterinarian. Come check out our new items!

Faculty New Books Request

To better serve the veterinary curriculum and our veterinary students' needs, the Veterinary Medical Library and Library Committee utilizes a Qualtrics form for faculty members to request new library materials, curriculum books, journals, and content, or any item that the library might consider for purchase. All requests are reviewed by the Library Committee. To submit a request, please fill out the form, found here. Or, if you prefer, please email us at library@vet.k-state.edu.
