Mission and Objectives

The mission of the Kansas State University Center of Excellence for Translational and Comparative Oncology Research (CETCOR) is to assist researchers across campus and within the wider K-State community in expediting the pre-clinical and clinical development, production and/or licensure of novel or improved medical interventions (drugs, immunotherapeutics, and medical devices or diagnostics) for the diagnosis, management and treatment of both human and animal cancer.

CETCOR can provide researchers and research groups with advice regarding:

  1. Animal model appropriateness / relevance.
  2. Study / clinical trial design.
  3. Statistical analyses.
  4. Funding opportunities.
  5. Licensure requirements.
  6. Publications.

If invited, CETCOR can also collaborate on organizing and conducting clinical trials.

A secondary objective of CETCOR is to provide opportunities for education and networking as they pertain to translational and comparative oncologic research within the region.
