International Travel Awards

Each year, the International Programs office at the College of Veterinary Medicine offers scholarships to K-State students to facilitate international experiences which make a positive contribution to animal health and/or public health.

Exchange Programs

Below is the list of universities which offer student exchange experiences for KSU Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, masters, and PhD students. Exchange programs offer beneficial educational experiences for students, while also keeping costs down. Faculty-led Study Tours

Annually, a faculty-led study abroad elective is offered investigating veterinary medicine and agriculture in a foreign country. The location varies each year. Contact Dr. Walter Renberg for more information about upcoming tours.

Elective on International Veterinary Medicine

The CVM faculty offers an elective course on International Veterinary Medicine. The elective will aim to describe the global nature of infectious disease threats; international frameworks for mitigating animal and human health threats; and multidisciplinary some global multidisciplinary initiatives including One Health and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Students will also learn how to apply key skills such as risk assessment, risk communication, and proposal writing.

International Veterinary Students Association (IVSA) - KSU Chapter

At KSU, DVM students interested in international veterinary medicine have the opportunity to join the KSU IVSA Chapter. This organization offers additional opportunities for exposure to international speakers, travel, and leadership.
