BD FACSMelody Cell Sorter
The Melody resides in Mosier Hall K208 and is configured for high speed, viable, aseptic sorts from a wide range of cell types. It has three lasers (405 violet, 488 blue, and 561(yellow-green) and nine photomultiplier detectors. Detection channels includeforward scatter (FSC), side scatter (SSC), plus filter configurations for the detection of fluorescence to include 448/45, 428/45, 582/15, 613/18YG, 697/58, 783/56YG, 488/15, 527/32, 700/54, 510/10, 545/20, 528/45, and 755/LP. Software control is via BD FACSChorus. Samples can be maintained through a temperature control ranch of 4 to 37 degrees Celsius, complete with agitation. Collection reservoirs include 1.5 mL centrifuge tubes, 5 mL tubes, slides, and multi-well plates (6, 24, 48, 96, and 384). |
