Teaching
I am the coordinator of the veterinary clinical pathology residency program. I am committed to training the next generation of academic veterinary pathologists and research scientists.
Research
I study the tumor microenvironment, particularly how interactions between extracellular matrix and tumor or inflammatory/immune cells guide cancer development and progression. I am especially interested in the link between obesity and cancer, specifically how structural changes of extracellular matrix that occur in obese adipose tissue predispose individuals to cancer development.
