Service

I provide necropsy and biopsy and consultation services for clients in Diagnostic Pathology.

Research

My research emphasis is on food safety and enteric diseases of swine and cattle, especially Salmonella and enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli. I am the KSU representative to the NC-1007 (formerly NC-62) technical committee: “Enteric Diseases of Swine and Cattle: Prevention, Control and Food Safety.” This is a project involving collaborative research between multiple Agricultural Experiment Stations.

Teaching

I assist in teaching veterinary necropsy techniques to fourth year veterinary students; viral diseases of swine, sheep, and goats to second year veterinary students; pathology to Pathology Residents to help prepare them for pathology boards. I am also active in weekly dermatohistopathology and neoplasia seminars.
