Taghreed. S. Mahmood

Background:

Taghreed S. Mahmood embarked on her professional journey by participating in a graduate rotation program across various departments of veterinary services in Iraq after completing her graduation. Following this, she established her own clinic and contributed significantly to the National Project for Controlling Brucellosis and Tuberculosis. Upon relocating to the United States, Taghreed seized the opportunity to work at the Recombinant DNA Laboratory at the VDL/Research Park for over two years. Since 2017, she has been serving as a Research Assistant alongside Dr. Amachawadi in his lab, focusing primarily on pathogens associated with liver abscesses and BRD. Beyond her academic pursuits, Taghreed finds joy in fashion, interior designing, hiking, and woodworking.
