Brandon earned a Bachelor’s of Science with a major in Animal Sciences and Industry, a Master’s of Science in Ruminant Nutrition, and completed a Ph.D. in Ruminant Nutrition in 2009 at Kansas State University. As he earned his degrees, Brandon gained valuable experience and training through work at the K-State Beef Cattle Research Center. Brandon is the Vice President of cattle feeding at Irsik and Doll Feed Services, Inc. As well as being a co-founder of U.S CattleTrace.

Raised on a farm in south-central Kansas, Dr. Trent Fox’s lifelong interest has been cattle production. Trent received both a Ph.D. in Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology and a DVM from Kansas State University, as well as a master of science degree in Ruminant Nutrition from Texas A&M. Trent is a partner and consulting veterinarian with Veterinary Research & Consulting Services, LLC.

Shawn has spent a lifetime in the beef industry. A graduate of Kansas State University, he started his career managing a purebred angus operation. Since 2007 Shawn and his family have owned and operated Tiffany Cattle Company. TCC is a custom cattle feeding operation with feedlots in Morris, McPherson, and Lyon counties and extensive grazing and farming programs that support the business. 

Earned a BS Agriculture University of Missouri (’88), as well as his DVM Degree from University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine (’92) where he earned the English Practitioner Award as the outstanding large animal veterinary school student. He is a graduate of the Beef Cattle Production Management Series from the University of Nebraska (‘04). He has presented at meetings of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners as well as the World Buiatrics Congress on multiple topics including the relationship between beef producers and veterinarians and the application of Systems Thinking in practice. Dr. Groves is the recipient of the 2022 Boehringer Ingelheim Bovine Practitioner of the Year Award. He is married to Dr. Ingrid Haas and has 2 daughters. Dr. Groves has been in private practice for 32 years, including 23 as the owner of Livestock Veterinary Services in Eldon, Missouri, which is in the central part of the state. Dr. Groves has specialized in beef cattle production medicine focusing on large, progressive stocker operations with emphasis in optimizing production efficiency in all phases of management. Also, Dr. Groves works with several key registered and commercial cow herds. 

Matt Teagarden is Chief Executive Officer for the Kansas Livestock Association (KLA). KLA, established in 1894, is a trade association representing 5,700 members on legislative and regulatory issues. KLA members are involved in many aspects of the livestock industry, including seedstock, cow-calf and stocker production; cattle feeding; dairy production; grazing land management and diversified farming operations. He has held his current position since 2015 and has been part of the KLA team since 1999. Teagarden’s responsibilities include providing the overall leadership necessary to implement all KLA-member policies. He oversees all business of KLA and subsidiary companies. Teagarden was raised on his family’s ranching and farming operation near La Cygne, Kansas. He is a graduate of Kansas State University in Agricultural Economics. He and his wife, Stephanie, have one daughter, Allie; son-in-law Kale Monk; and, granddaughter Andie.
