Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some questions that we have been asked about our program in the past.
How do I use K-State’s Veterinary Medicine Online?
You can see a step-by-step description on how to use our online program in our video tutorial.
Does my computer meet the requirements to use this online program?
As long as you have a high-speed Internet connection and an updated web browser, you should be able to successfully use our program. You can test your computer’s ability to use K-State Pro by running the Axio readiness test. Your computer should be able to play our video seminars if you are able to play our video tutorial and sample video. Play the video tutorial.
I have successfully registered for an online seminar, but I did not receive the confirmation email. What do I do?
If you have paid and did not receive the confirmation email and the email that directs you to K-State Pro, you should contact the K-State Division of Continuing Education conference registration office at registration@k-state.edu or (785) 532-5569.
I have forgotten my password to sign into K-State Pro. What do I do?
You can retrieve your password here. On this page, you can select “Retrieve you forgotten password.” You will be asked to enter the email that you used to register for the online program. Your password will be sent to your email account.
I have logged into K-State Pro, but when I try to play the video, it will not play. What should I do?
You can test your browser's ability to use K-State Pro by running the Axio readiness test. Please make sure you are connected to the Internet with a high-speed connection. You can also try using a different web browser. If all else fails, please send an email to vmce@vet.ksu.edu or call (785) 532-2122.
Can I download the video seminar to watch on my computer?
No. You must watch the video in the video player in K-State Pro.
What are the printable handouts for?
Most seminars feature PDF handouts that you can print for reference. Usually these include slide handouts that are useful for following along with the seminar and taking notes. In some programs, the speaker provided additional notes that can provide you with additional information on the seminar’s subject.
How many questions are there on the “short quiz” for the individual seminars?
For the individual seminars, there are usually four to five multiple-choice or true-false questions. Only a few have more than that. The tests on the certificate-of-completion programs feature more questions, but you do not have to finish the test all at once. You have the ability to save your progress and return to finish the test at a later time.
I have finished watching the online seminar and have received a passing grade on the quiz. How do I receive a copy of my certificate?
You can print your certificate after you receive a passing grade on the online quiz. You can access the certificate in the same folder you found the quiz. Access is granted by selecting “Refresh gates” in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. You can then open the PDF form by selecting “Click here to print your certificate.” Once the PDF file opens, hit “Clear Form,” fill out the required fields and then select “Print Certificate.” Please note, this PDF file is best viewed with Adobe Reader 9. Download the free Adobe Reader. This process is described in our video tutorial.
How long do I have access to the online program?
After you register, you will have 14 days to complete individual seminars and 28 days to complete certificate-of-completion programs. For example, if you register for a 14-day seminar on June 1, you will have until June 14 to log in, watch the seminar, complete the quiz and print your certificate. Be aware, if you register for five 14-day seminars at the same time, you will have the same 14-day access period for all five programs.
Why can’t I see my online seminar/s in my K-State Pro Organizer?
If you registered for an individual seminar and it has been 14 days since you enrolled in the online program, it means that your access period is over and you can no longer view the online seminar. The same situation will occur after 28 days if you were enrolled in a certificate-of-completion program. If you did not see the online seminar that you registered for when you first logged into K-State Pro, then there may have been an error in the registration process. Please send an email to vmce@vet.ksu.edu or call (785) 532-2122.
