10:10-11:00 am | The Business of Veterinary Dietary Recommendations: How to Integrate Nutrition Science Into Your Practice This presentation will discuss the disconnect between pet owners' and veterinarians' views regarding veterinary dietary recommendations. We will cover the basics of nutrition science and business management as it relates to selected pet health conditions and how to use that knowledge to bridge this disconnect. Lastly, the presentation will provide an example of how to successfully incorporate nutrition recommendations into clinical practice settings.

We will discuss the metabolism and consequences of anorexia and starvation, methods to provide nutrition support to patients who cannot or will not eat, and how to choose an appropriate diet.
