Dr. Ingrid Pyka is a passionate advocate for the veterinary profession. Witnessing persistent struggles with staff morale, financial challenges in hospitals, and the perilous exodus of talented professionals – even pre-pandemic, Ingrid committed herself to fostering a healthier, more sustainable industry. With over 15 years of experience in independent consulting, Dr. Pyka has successfully guided both veterinary and non-veterinary organizations toward effective, profitable, and compassionate growth. Her recent focus has been on combating burnout and uniting like-minded veterinary professionals within a stronger community. Having been a practice owner, associate and relief veterinarian, as well as hospital/medical director in corporate and nonprofit hospitals, Ingrid deeply understands the complexities facing our profession. She collaborates with general practitioners, specialty, and emergency practices enriching career pathways at all levels while bridging the gap between owners, management, veterinarians, and support staff. As a two-time TEDx speaker and multi-award-winning author, Dr. Pyka shares her insights through speaking engagements and training programs for audiences worldwide. She actively supports organizations dedicated to veterinary retention, animal welfare and child literacy, volunteering with city and state initiatives, as well as educational institutions and associations. |
