  • A walkthrough model of the heart
  • Race through the GI tract
  • World of the little (including Dr. Dryden’s famous flea jar)
  • The famous two-headed calf at the second year pathology booth
  • Mock surgical suite
  • Animal athletes

Scheduled Events:

  • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    • Browse club and class booths, listen to speakers and have your veterinary school questions answered by current vet students. Enjoy guided tours, and visit our animals on display. Trotter and Mosier Halls, “I-70.”

  • 9:30 a.m. - Frick Auditorium - Mosier Hall

    • “Hear it for Yourself” - Do you have a younger sibling or friend wanting to follow in your footsteps and pursue the glorious journey (you may take that as sarcastically as you so choose) that is vet school? Well send them our way and have their questions answered! Dr. Ronnie Elmore has graciously offered to provide a short presentation along with a Q&A session with a SCAVMA panel about what it takes it to get into vet school and what it will be like to work through our curriculum. It is guaranteed to answer any questions people may have and is sure to be hugely beneficial for all those who are interested! We will also be offering the opportunity for guided tours of the vet school by our ambassadors!
  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. - "I-70" - Mosier Hall

    • Enjoy a delicious pork burger, baked beans, and a soda prepared by the Swine Club outside of “I-70.” Trust me it’ll be worth your while to stop by and support the swine club!
  • 11:30 a.m. - Frick Auditorium - Mosier Hall

    • “Caring for Your Cat and Dog” - Tired of having your family members constantly pestering you with questions about how to take care of the family pet now that you’re a vet student? Well now you can finally get all their questions answered! Bring the whole family and have all their questions about the furry members of our family answered by Dr. Susan Nelson , one of our college’s pet health experts! Everyone that attends is sure to walk away knowing at least a little bit more about giving our furry friends the quality life they all deserve! Everyone that attends will be eligible to win one of our prize baskets chock full gifts perfect for your loveable (and obviously never spoiled) pets!
  • 11:30 a.m. - Weber Hall

    • “What’s Your Beef: the Making of a Hamburger in Kansas” - Bring your family and friends and come spend an hour and have all your questions about what really goes into the food we eat by one of our most entertaining professors, Dr. Dan Thomson . Anyone that has heard Dr. Thomson speak can tell you that this is guaranteed to be an hour well spent! Plus, everyone that attends will eligible to win a $100 gift card to YeeHaw Country Outfitters on Ponytz! Everyone likes to look sharp right? Well this is your chance to get that new outfit or pair of boots your wardrobe desperately. Spread the word and come out to support one of our college’s top professors!
  • 1 p.m. - Frick Auditorium - Mosier Hall

    • Watch the talented pets of K-State veterinary students at the vet med pet show. Pets will compete in a variety of categories, including best trick, best costume, best exotic pet, pet/owner look-alike and audience favorite.
