Annual Homecoming | 中心年会

The U.S.-China Center for Animal Health has been organizing annual Homecoming for the U.S.-China Joint DVM Program since 2013. The Homecoming is an opportunity to invite program students attending at partnering schools and alumni as well as senior leaders from our partnering organizations, institutes and universities in the U.S. and China, to visit KSU, the home of this program, and to exchange experiences, share ideas to better the program, and to celebrate the graduating class each year. The event includes reports from program alumni, new graduates, and the students who either just finished their pre-veterinary year at Kansas State University or are currently working on their DVM degrees at U.S. partnering universities. Senior leaders of our program partners also share their wisdom to students in the leadership seminar incorporated in the event.

Starting from 2023, we also organized the homecoming in China to learn program alumni’s impacts in advancing the Chinese veterinary education and the profession after their return, as well as promoting veterinary education exchanges between the U.S. and China. Deans of the program partnering veterinary colleges in China and the U.S. were invited to attend. The China Homecoming also provides an opportunity for the veterinary education collaboration between the U.S. and China, such as continuing education.

美中动物卫生中心自2013年以来举办中美联合培养执业兽医博士项目的年会。年会邀请在合作院校学习的项目学生和已毕业的校友，以及美国和中国的合作组织、机构和大学的高层领导前来项目的发源地——堪萨斯州立大学，交流经验，分享想法，旨在改善项目，并为该年度的毕业学生庆祝。该活动包括项目校友、新毕业生以及刚在堪萨斯州立大学完成预科学习或正在美国各所合作大学攻读DVM学位的学生的报告。项目合作伙伴的高层领导人也会在活动举办的领导力研讨会中与学生分享他们的智慧与经验。

从2023年开始，我们还组织了中国年会，以了解项目校友回国后对促进中国兽医教育和兽医行业，以及推动中美兽医教育交流的贡献。与该项目合作的中美兽医学院院长应邀参加。中国年会还为中美之间的兽医教育合作提供了机会，例如继续教育。

China Homecoming:

US-China Joint DVM Program hosts homecoming event in China

A very special celebration for Kansas State University took place in Beijing, China, on Sept. 8 and 9. The U.S.-China Joint DVM Program hosted its China Homecoming event, which was co-organized by the U.S.-China Center for Animal Health, Chinese Veterinary Medical Association and Zoetis. About 70 people attended.
