NAPRRS Symposium and NSIF Joint Conference Abstract and Poster Information

Abstract submission is now closed.  All applicants who submitted abstracts for posters have been notified of their acceptance.  If you missed the deadline, or have questions, please contact NAPRRS@vet.k-state.edu.

All submitted abstracts will be presented at the meeting as posters on Saturday, December 2, 2017. 

Abstracts were submitted to one of the following areas related to PRRSV, emerging diseases and foreign animal diseases:

  1. Epidemiology, biosecurity, virus control in the field
  2. Host response to infection, including host genetics and innate/adaptive immunity
  3. Vaccine strategies and therapeutics
  4. Detection, diagnostics and surveillance
  5. Virus structure and viral gene function (viral genetics)
  6. Swine genetics/genomics topics (NSIF-related abstracts that don’t involve infectious disease)
  7. Other

All abstracts are published and made public through the official meeting website and other venues.  A meeting program and abstracts will be compiled and posted on-line at the meeting website, as well as distributed to registered meeting participants at the beginning of the conference.

Abstracts Accepted for Oral Presentations

The Scientific Committee thanks all applicants who submitted abstracts to be considered for oral presentations on Sunday December 3. 

All corresponding authors of the selected abstracts will be notified by email the week of October 30, 2017 of their status and the list of speakers will be published on this page soon thereafter.

Poster Preparation Instructions:

All accepted abstracts will be presented as posters during a reception Saturday evening.  It is expected that all poster presenters will be available to discuss their research.  Poster size is 4 feet wide (121 cm) and 4 feet (121 cm) high.

Posters should be set up on Friday, December 1 and removed at the end of the conference on Sunday December 3.
