113 Equine is a new facility located 40 minutes west of Ft. Worth, Tx. We are a 3 doctor, 100% equine practice that specialize in lameness, sports medicine, surgery and reproductive services to a very large western performance horse clientele. The majority of the clientele consists of cutting, rodeo and working cow horses. We currently provide a full range of equine reproductive services including embryo flushing and stallion management. Between resident and haul-in stallions we work with between 10 and 15 performance horse stallions. Our facility consists of 3 exam rooms, one operating suite, 2 recovery stalls, covered lameness area, mare palpation area and laboratory as well as stallion collection room and laboratory. There is also a 4 stall ICU barn, 7 stall hospital barn, 48 stall mare motel and 10 stall stallion barn. We are looking to hire someone to fill an internship position. This would be a one year position that would include assisting in surgery, assisting with lameness and outpatient exams and assisting with reproductive procedures. At times, anesthetic duties and field medicine would be expected. The successful applicant should be a fully licensed veterinarian in the United States of America and eligible for licensure in the State of Texas. Intern compensation is a salary of $45,000.00, with licensing paid, $1,000 stipend for continuing education meetings, and $300 per month of health insurance paid.
