Mountain View Animal Emergency is looking for students interested in completing an externship. If you have an interest in emergency medicine, MVAE would like to invest in your future! We have developed a training program that will set you up for success in emergency medicine. MVAE is a 24-hour emergency only, small animal hospital located in Hagerstown, Maryland. We are fully staffed with experienced clinicians and licensed technicians. Our practice prides itself on aggressive, yet common sense medicine, and one of our top priorities has always been to provide the highest level of customer service to our clients, while maintaining a great work environment for our staff. Our greatest strength as a clinic is our staff. The majority of our full-time technicians are RVT’s or heavily experienced in ER/referral practice. Their strong skills allow our clinicians to focus on the medicine and work worry free. We are a privately-owned veterinary hospital that is not involved with any large corporation. There is a small, but involved, management team whose constant focus is to always improve our product and the quality of the work environment for our team. We pride ourselves for treating our staff like family members, not just employees. We believe strongly in quality of life, both at work and away from the hospital. This is an externship, not indentured servitude. Some of the many ways our staff enjoys their free time is by spending it outdoors or traveling to close cities for a day of fun. Western Maryland is an ideal location for those who love the outdoors but still desire to live close to major metropolitan regions. This location also has a lower cost of living despite being so close to Baltimore and Washington, D.C. If you are interested in completing an externship in emergency medicine while keeping the personal touch of a staff-oriented practice, we would love to hear from you. Housing is available as well. Additional information can be obtained by emailing directly to Dr. Tracey Stonebridge at tstonebridge1@gmail.com or sean@mvaevet.com.
