  • Female 4th year vet student and female KSU graduate student looking for 1 roommate in our 3 bedroom, single family rental. Convenient location on a quiet street, 2 blocks south of City Park and a 7 minute drive to the vet school. Our house has a front yard and porch, a large fenced-in backyard, detached garage, driveway parking for 2 cars, and ample on street parking. We have central air, washer, drier, and dishwasher, and the kitchen and common areas are already furnished and stocked with essentials. There is a large finished basement great for storage or a quiet study space. Your bedroom would be on the main floor off of the living/dining room and you would share a bath with 1 other female. Rent for June 2018 through May 2019 is $300/month. This discounted rate is in exchange for you letting my 40 lb hound mix out for mid-day bathroom breaks Monday – Friday while I am spending long days at the hospital. This is a great opportunity for a student that would like the companionship of a dog without the costs or full commitment. If interested, there is the option for early move in mid-May. Please contact me for more information or to see pictures of the house: teyoung@vet.ksu.edu, 215-872-2274 (Posted 02/20/2018)

  • I am looking for roommates to live in the house I currently rent during the 2018-2019 academic school year. I live in a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhouse in Manhattan, and my roommates are vacating this summer while I have one more year of graduate school. Currently, three of us live in the 4br comfortably, but there is a lot of empty space and I am open to filling all of the bedrooms or using the extra room for storage. There is a big living room and kitchen with a dishwasher, central air/heat, and we have a washer and dryer in the house. The house is right by the Hudson Nature Trail and Marlatt Park, so it's a great place for running or walking when the weather is nice. It's 3 miles from campus, which comes out to a 7 minute drive or 20-30ish minute bike ride. The perks of not being walking distance campus, however, is cheap rent! It is $1,020 plus utilities and internet, which comes out to less than $200 per month, so *rent+utilities+internet* ends up being between $305 and $400 per person *at most*, depending on how many people live there and what season it is. Rooms vary in size, so a tiered pricing structure could be worked out depending on who lives in which room (i.e. if you were in the smallest room, you would pay less than if you were in the master bedroom). I have one dog, a sweet and energetic 35 pound, 2 year old lab/terrier mix. She's gotten along with every dog or cat she's met so far, but if you have a pet we could have them meet beforehand to be sure. We have a backyard and side yard which is not fenced, but I have a tie out set up in the back. There is pet rent ($30/month) but I'm not sure if that's for any number of pets, or per pet. Move in is flexible over the summer, however I will be traveling for research between June 23 and August 11 so it needs to be arranged beforehand with the property managers or my current roommates. I am a graduate student who spends most of my time on campus or traveling, so common areas are very minimally used and stay clean and tidy. If you're interested or know someone (or a group of people) who might be interested, please contact me, Dani Dagan, at ddagan@ksu.edu. (Posted 01/19/2018)
