These are rules,
requirements, and policies that have been voted on by members of
the SCAVMA Executive Board. All policies are subject to change
at any time by vote of the Executive Board.

Policies/Rules/Regulations

All new policies must be
presented at SCAVMA Executive Board Meetings. A motion must be
made by an Exec Board member, the motion must be seconded, there
must be an opportunity for discussion, and a vote must be taken,
with majority rule. The President will only vote in the event of
a tie.
SAVMA
Membership
Club Funds

Each specialty club that is
recognized as an official club in good standing by SCAVMA shall
receive $250 at the beginning of each school year.

Clubs must have a
representative at 6 of the 8 SCAVMA Executive Board Meetings
during the previous year to be eligible to receive these
funds. Clubs that do not meet these requirements will not
receive any funds from SCAVMA.

Clubs that are newly
formed that were not in existence during the previous year must
have a representative at the first two SCAVMA Executive Board
meetings to be eligible for funds.

Clubs must submit a budget
and constitution to the President of SCAVMA before the second
meeting of the year in order to be eligible to receive funds
from SCAVMA.

Clubs must have elected
officers and hold regular meetings to be considered a club in
good standing.

Clubs may request up to
$1000 per year for Continuing Education Veterinary Conferences.

Clubs must provide
evidence that funds are going towards speaker expenses,
educational materials, and ITC costs. Funds will not be given
for food or entertainment costs.

All funding requests must
be given to the President prior to the following Exec Board
meeting, and must be voted on and approved by the Exec Board.
