  • Equestrian/Hiking Trails:
    Tuttle Creek Lake currently has two separate horse/hiking trails on the east side of the lake. The oldest trail located at the Carnahan Recreation Area off Carnahan Creek Rd. The camp loops provide great views and you can ride or hike 5-8 miles.

  • Randolph State Park Horse and Hiking Trails:
    Built in 1996, there are 14.75 miles of trails in the 200-acre park. The park is divided by U.S. Hwy 16. For more info visit:

  • Creek State Park:
    Located at Tuttle Creek Lake, they offer 4.5 miles of challenging terrain and is one of Kansas’ best mountain biking trails.


  • Aggieville:

    Located on the southeast edge of the KSU campus, Aggieville is a popular business district with over 100 years of history. Aggieville is home to restaurants, bars, specialty shops, clothing stores, hair salons, cleaners, coffee shops, bookstores, professional services and more! Aggieville also hosts and annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and a 2 mile and 10K road race and Fun Run.

  • Manhattan Town Center:

    The mall features Dillard’s, J.C. Penny, Sears and much more.

  • Other Shopping Centers:

    Located adjacent to Anneberg park, the center has a 9-hole golf course,

  • Campus Movies:
    Just before movies are released on video they are shown on campus at a discounted rate. You do not have to be a student to attend campus movies. Movies are shown in Forum Hall located on the ground floor of the Student Union.

  • Arts in the Park:
    During the summer performers entertain visitors in an open-air theater in City Park.  

  • Manhattan Arts Center:

    Dedicated to the development of all the arts in the Manhattan community, the center is home to a variety of art activities including a theatre, art gallery, Birdhouse concerts, Jazz concerts, and a number of classes.  

  • Marianna Kistler Beach Museum Of Art:

    The Beach Museum of Art boasts a permanent art collection of over 3,000 works. The museum offers an array of exhibitions and programs. Since the museum’s opening in 1996 there have been 48 exhibitions displaying more than 2000 works by over 300 artists.  

  • McCain Auditorium (Kansas State University Campus):
    Numerous productions are offered throughout the year, including operas, plays, chamber music, jazz, and other campus entertainment activities.

The Affiliated Foods Midwest Country Stampede is a four-day country music and camping festival at the end of June, held at Tuttle Creek State Park. The four days are fun-filled and action-packed with great performers, fantastic food, colorful crafts, a swinging saloon, and much, much more!!!
