CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
KSU-CVM PHI ZETA RESEARCH DAY

MARCH 7, 2006

Dear faculty, graduate students, house officers, residents, and veterinary students:

I would like to invite each of you to present your research as posters or oral presentations at Phi Zeta Research Day, scheduled for March 7, 2006. Information regarding the scheduled events for Research Day 2006 and previous Phi Zeta events is posted at http://www.vet.ksu.edu/studentorgs/PhiZeta/ .


Awards will be presented for:

1st, 2nd and 3rd places for best Basic Science Presentation ($150.00, $100.00 & $50.00)

1st, 2nd and 3rd places for best Applied or Clinical Science Presentation ($150.00, $100.00, $50.00)

Best Clinical Case Report, $150.00

Best Production Animal Medicine Award: $150.00

Three Best Posters: $50.00 each

FORMAT
Please format your abstract using these specified guidelines: Confine the abstract to a single page each with 1 inch margins in Microsoft Word or Corel, font 10 or 12. Please bold the title and the name of the presenter, and underline the name of the faculty sponsor (or major professor etc.). When submitting your abstract, please specify in your e-mail whether you would prefer an oral format or a poster format or will accept either. Please bear in mind that the number of slots available for oral presentations is limited and not all requests for oral presentations may be honored.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE

Please send your abstract as an e-mail attachment to Tom Schermerhorn ( tscherme@vet.k-state.edu ) or Wally Cash ( cash@vet.k-state.edu ) by 5:00 PM on Monday, February 20, 2006. The Phi Zeta executive committee will review the abstracts and notify individuals about their acceptability by Feb. 24th.
