Epidemiological Approaches for Food Safety USDA, CSREES, NRICPG, Conventional Projects, Standard Research Grants TBA $1,500,000 for three to four years Proposals must have a primary central focus on epidemiological studies conducted in the population or in the field. Proposals concentrating strictly on laboratory methods or techniques will not be accepted. Biotechnology Risk Assessment Research Grants Program (BRARGP) USDA, CSREES, ARS Febraury 15,2007 Not more than $400,000 (Including Indirect costs) The purpose of the Biotechnology Risk Assessment Research Grants Program (BRARGP) is to assist Federal regulatory agencies in making science-based decisions about the safety of introducing into the environment genetically modified organisms, including plants, microorganisms, fungi, bacteria, viruses, arthropods, fish, birds, mammals, and other animals. The Program accomplishes this purpose by providing scientific information derived from the risk assessment research that it funds. Research proposals submitted to this competitive grants program must address risk assessment, not risk management, and will be evaluated by a peer panel of scientists
