    For equine veterinarians, the importance of identifying which vaccine protocols are efficacious and understanding the role of immunity in the application of vaccines is vital. In this seminar, Dr. Beth Davis reviews how the components of the immune system, such as the innate and adaptive immunity, and how they impact the application of vaccines.

Vaccine protocols discussed include equine encephalomyelitis, West Nile Virus, tetanus, rabies, alpha-herpesvirus, EHV-1 myeloencephalitis, equine influenza, strangles, botulism, equine viral arteritis, rotaviral diarrhea, anthrax and snakebite envenomation.
