On October 17, Dr. Stephen Higgs (associate vice president for research of Kansas State Unviersity, director of Biosecurity Research Institute), Dr. Jishu Shi (director of USCCAH) and Dr. Lei Wang ( manager of Education Programs, USCCAH) visited South China Agricultural University (SCAU).

On October 27, the USCCAH partnered with Chinese Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) and Zoetis to host the International Symposium on Veterinary Education in Qingdao.
On October 27, a Memorandum of Understanding for future support for the U.S.-China Joint DVM Program was signed between CVMA, Zoetis and Kansas State University (KSU).

On June 12, 2014, K-State Provost Mason, Dean Richardson of K-State College of Veterinary Medicine and Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Ning of the China Scholarship Council signed the supplemental agreement to the “CSC and KSU Memorandum of Understanding on Veterinary Medicine Collaboration”, which was signed into effect by both parties on October 25, 2012.
