Dr. Ronnie Elmore is associate dean for Academic Programs, Admissions and Diversity of the K-State’s College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to serving as an academic adviser for all the students in the DVM degree program, Dr. Elmore also supervises the pre-vet students in the U.S.-China joint DVM program with their DVM program applications. Dr. Elmore hosts bi-weekly meeting with the students to learn their academic progress and answer their questions and concerns. Dr. Elmore has been awarded the Association of American Veterinary Medical College’s (AAVMC) 2013 Iverson Bell Recognition Award for his extraordinary contributions to advancing inclusion and diversity in academic veterinary medicine.

Dr. Bob Goodband serves as the undergraduate advisor for the students in the U.S.-China joint DVM program. He works with Dr. Ronnie Elmore and Dr. Lei Wang (manager of Education Programs, U.S.-China Center for Animal Health) to coordinate classes for the new Chinese students. Dr. Goodband has approximately 30 advisees who are primarily pre-veterinary students. His office is in Weber Hall 242, and his door is always open to meet with students. In 2012 Dr. Goodband was selected by students as the College of Agriculture Advisor of the Year.
