Kansas State University College
of Veterinary Medicine is excited about
our participation in the International Veterinary Scholarship
program. KSU CVM developed this program to help faculty members
from veterinary schools around the world obtain quality
continuing education that might otherwise be unavailable to
them. In cooperation with the Western States Veterinary
Conference, Novartis Animal Health, and Hills Pet Nutrition, KSU
CVM is able to bring selected faculty members to the U.S. to
attend the WSC as well as spending time at the CVM and at Hill’s
in Topeka, KS.
In 2007, Dr. Zoltan Dioszegi from St. Istvan University in
Budapest, Hungary and Dr. Ricardo Lippke from FAVET-UFRGS in
Brazil participated in this program.
In 2008, Dr. Yuki Tachika
from UNAM in Mexico City, Mexico and Dr. Meena Sarikaputi from
Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand were able to
participate.

Kansas State University is also involved in a student exchange
program with the Veterinary School at the Free University of
Berlin. Several students from KSU have had the opportunity to
learn about veterinary education in Germany and more are
scheduled to go. Recently, Christina Müller and Stefanie Grof
from Berlin visited our school. We enjoyed their visit and hope
they will remember the time fondly.
