Hosting of International
Visitors at the College of Veterinary Medicine
KSU-CVM has welcomed visitors from
around the world. In order to facilitate these visits, the IAC
has remodeled two apartments in the veterinary complex for use
by guests of CVM faculty. Other housing opportunities can also
be arranged in Manhattan. Pictures of the apartments are shown
below.

Elena Gart (front row, left) was one of two Russian Students who participated in the Summer Veterinary Scholar’s Program at Kansas State University in 2007. Her advisor was Dr Ronette Gehring. She worked in Dr Sanjeev Narayanan’s laboratory, where she conducted experiments designed to study the transfer of resistance elements in a mixed bacterial population exposed to different concentrations of antimicrobial drugs. Elena is in her fourth year of veterinary studies at the Novosibirsk State University of Agriculture, where she is also a laboratory assistant.
Denis A. Odnoshevskiy came to K-State from Novosibirsk State Agrarian University where he was an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology and the Deputy Director of Research, Institute of Veterinary Medicine. Denis is pursuing a doctoral degree in Pharmacology. He is supported by the BIOINDUSTRY INITIATIVE, a Program of the United States Department of State, Washington D.C.
