PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE

Graduates of the doctoral program in Veterinary Physiology will: demonstrate competency in basic physiology; demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge through critical thinking, inquiry, analysis and communication and to produce scholarly and creative works; and exhibit an awareness of their responsibilities and professional conduct towards all constituent groups.



PROGRAM OUTCOMES

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of core biomedical science, laboratory practices and lifelong learning.
  2. Demonstrate skills in laboratory practices, problem solving/reasoning and planning.
  3. An ability to do experimental designs.
  4. Ability to apply an understanding of information technology.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge of data analysis.
  6. Demonstrate knowledge and familiarity with scientific literature and ability to give scientific presentations.
  7. Ability to organize, write and publish in scientific journals.
  8. Demonstrate the importance of and work to develop an awareness of their responsibility as a scientist.
  9. Ability to adhere to professional behavior.
  10. Ability to adhere to the use of animal/human subjects.
  11. An ability to work with many different people and cultures.
  12. Demonstrate commitment to continual life-long learning.
