The Department of Anatomy and Physiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University is seeking applications for a 12-month, tenure-track or clinical-track Assistant or Associate Professor Faculty position with a primary emphasis in the teaching of Gross Anatomy. The ability to also teach neuroscience is preferred.  Applicants must have a DVM and/or PhD, or equivalent, and demonstrate a strong record of excellence in teaching. The successful applicant will be expected to devote approximately 80% effort to teaching in the professional (DVM) program, which includes contributing to both semesters of team-taught gross anatomy courses. The successful applicant is also expected to devote approximately 20% effort to research or teaching scholarship in his or her area of interest.  Documented records in research and/or teaching scholarship are highly desirable.  The successful candidate will join an active anatomy teaching group with expertise in all aspects of veterinary anatomy and a department dedicated to excellence in teaching and research.  Departmental faculty demonstrate expertise in cell and tissue signaling, cell and organ development, immunophysiology and nanotechnology, pharmacology and pharmacokinetics, integrative and systems physiology, neuroscience, and teaching scholarship. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with training and experience.
