Associate Dean for Research

Applications are invited for the position of Associate Dean for Research. The Associate Dean for Research provides leadership to research programs in the college and advice and counsel to the Dean on matters related to research and scholarly activities.
The successful candidate is expected to enhance and promote research policies and guidelines within the college, foster and seek out extramural funding for college research initiatives, develop short and long range plans, build and maintain research infrastructure, and promote and represent the college’s research programs. The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, administrative experience and a proven record of extramural funding, including participation in collaborative and multi-disciplinary efforts. The ability to understand, appreciate and advocate for the full spectrum of veterinary college research efforts is essential. Kansas State University is the location of world class animal infectious disease facilities, including the BSL-3AG Biosecurity Research Institute (BRI) and the selected site for the National Bio and Agro-defense Facility (NBAF). Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Individuals should hold a terminal degree appropriate for their specialty.
