Post-Doctoral Fellow position available at Kansas State University
A Post-Doctoral Fellow position is open in the Autonomic Neurophysiology Laboratory at Kansas State University, Department Anatomy and Physiology. A Ph.D. degree in neuroscience, cardiovascular physiology, or areas relevant to neuroscience is required.
This is a research based position to investigate changes in the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) due to aging. Candidates should have expertise in molecular biology techniques (gene/micro arrays, RNA and protein extraction, cryo-sectioning, and micro-punching of rodent brain sections), data analysis and an interest in recording SNS activity. The successful applicant should have a strong interest in the physiology of the autonomic nervous system (ANS), and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
