The Department of Clinical Sciences and the Veterinary Health Center, College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University, invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Agricultural Practices.  Applicants must hold a DVM degree from an accredited college of veterinary medicine.  Specialty status in an appropriate discipline is desired, although candidates eligible for specialty status are encouraged to apply.  Candidates with higher academic degrees (e.g., MS or PhD) are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate should be committed to academia and dedicated to a high quality clinical service and teaching program that is primarily individual animal oriented.  He/she will provide clinical instruction to 4th year veterinary students while providing primary and secondary care to animals presented to the Veterinary Health Center.  The clinical appointment will vary depending on the nature of the position and the professional goals of the candidate.  The clinical case load is approximately 50% beef cattle, 40% dairy cattle, 5% camelids and 5% small ruminants and swine.  Teaching activities will include lectures, laboratories, and continuing education programs in addition to clinical rotations.  Candidates will be expected to develop an active research program related to food producing animals.  Salary will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience or qualifications.
