Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical Track) – Food Animal Field Services
The Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University, invites applications for a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in Food Animal Field Services. Applicants must hold a DVM degree from an accredited college of veterinary medicine. Advanced clinical training, an advanced academic degree, specialty status in an appropriate discipline, and/or five years of experience in a food animal practice setting are preferred credentials. An active background in beef cattle production medicine practice is also preferred.
Kansas State University has a strong local cow/calf, small ruminant, and camelid practice and the successful candidate will be expected to provide service to the area clientele through field calls and herd health consultation. The position includes provision of emergency care for food and fiber producing animals on a rotational basis. Teaching activities include lectures, laboratories, continuing education programs, and 4th year clinical rotations. Salary will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
