Faculty Position in Soft Tissue and General Surgery
The Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital and Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University seek applications from qualified individuals for a tenure- or clinical-track position in small animal soft tissue and general surgery. Applicants must possess a DVM or equivalent degree and must have completed residency training in small animal surgery by the time of employment. Preference will be given to individuals who have experience in small animal soft tissue and oncologic surgery. Time will be allotted for ACVS Board preparation for non-boarded applicants. Applicants will be considered for employment at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor based on academic experience. The Small Animal Surgery service is comprised of 4 ACVS-boarded surgeons, 3 surgical residents and 4 technicians dedicated to the surgery suite and ward.
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in clinical service, veterinary and graduate student instruction, residency training, scholarship, and support the academic missions of the department and VMTH.
