Assistant or Associate Professor in Cardiology at Kansas State University

The Department of Clinical Sciences and the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for a tenure track or clinical track, assistant/associate professor position in Cardiology.  Applicants must hold a DVM or equivalent degree and ACVIM  or ECVIM board certification from the American (or European) College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Specialty of Cardiology or have completed cardiology residency training or be enrolled in the third year of cardiology residency training.  An advanced degree (MS or PhD) is desirable, but not required. 

The successful candidate will provide didactic and clinical instruction in cardiology for veterinary students and house officers. We seek candidates who are committed to building caseload by providing exceptional service and timely communication with our constituents.  He or she will also contribute to the research goals of the institution, through either independent or collaborative research.  Excellent collaborative opportunities for research exist with faculty in the Departments of Anatomy and Physiology and Kinesiology. 

The starting date is negotiable. Professorial rank is based on academic experience and accomplishments commensurate with departmental guidelines for each academic rank.  Salary will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
