Practice in the Shadow of the Tetons We live by the motto “Don’t live to work, work to live.” Located near Jackson Hole, WY our team enjoys abundant outdoor recreational activities complemented by a friendly community. Our growing mixed animal (65% small animal and 35% equine) has carved out a niche by being there for our clients and building long-term relationships. We are seeking an additional associate, full or part-time would be considered, interested in practicing progressive medicine in a team-oriented environment. Built in 2003, the practice is paperless and equipped with Avimark management software, a new digital radiograph, an ultrasound, complete in-house lab, two exam rooms for dogs and one cat-exclusive room, a small animal surgery suite, clinic trucks, large animal anesthesia machine, recovery room, two large paddocks and a round pen. Equipment is great, but our real strength lies in our support staff. We have a long-time manager who has helped the practice average 20% growth over the last few years, one full time receptionist, two technicians and a kennel attendant. We utilize our technicians to check in patients, assist in the exam room, discuss estimates and accompany the doctor on large animal calls, when needed. To enhance our current team, we are looking for an associate who is easy-going, yet driven professionally, has a sense of humor, the ability to build client relationships and become engaged in the community, and is willing to equally share after-hour emergencies (often no more than one or two a week). We encourage special interests (we have a visiting orthopedic surgeon, currently) and the practice will support a new associate in pursuing relevant education and purchasing necessary equipment. For more information on the position, caseload and competitive compensation package, please contact Stith Keiser at skeiser@myveterinarycareer.com.

What facet of veterinary medicine excites you? Do you have an interest in providing personal professional care for the beloved pets of your community? Perhaps you enjoy dentistry or have an interest in ultrasonography? Do you take pride in knowing that you are an integral part of providing quality food to feed this and other countries? Salt Creek Veterinary Clinic was built 40 years ago and has a deep personal relationship with its clients and community. If you want to work in a clinic that allows you the opportunity to make a real difference for people you see in the grocery store every day then consider joining our team as an associate veterinarian. Salt Creek Vet Clinic is a 2 doctor mixed animal practice in rural eastern Wyoming. We are ~ 70% small animal, ~25% Cattle, ~3% equine and ~2% other. If you have a specific interest and would prefer to focus more on one area of the practice that will certainly be entertained, however, it will be expected that basic emergency procedures will be able to be performed for all species. We are a growing practice and are looking for motivated individuals who are willing to take initiative and help research and implement new programs. We have in house radiology, ultrasound, and large animal haul in facilities. We strive to continually provide better service through continued education and urge our staff to develop a skill that interests them. We are looking for an individual that can work well as a member of a team and also be able to function efficiently as an individual. Good client communication skills and a positive attitude are essential. All experience levels are encouraged to apply. The associate we are looking for will be replacing one of the current doctors. All daily and on call responsibilities will be shared between two doctors. We do provide 24 hour emergency service for current clientele both large and small animal. Licensing, CE tuition, dues, will be paid and 14 days of vacation will be allotted each year. Health insurance or compensation for such will also be provided. Newcastle, Wyoming is located 12 miles west of the South Dakota border so licensing in both Wyoming and South Dakota would be necessary. We are within driving distance to many local tourist attractions and outdoor amenities. Rapid City, SD is a mere hour and a half drive while Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and Custer State Park are all closer than that, just to mention a few. We are a rural community with the benefits of the city nearby. Come visit us and enjoy a little fun on your trip.
