Cornell University Veterinary Specialists (CUVS) has an immediate opening for a board-certified internist to join our team of internists and other specialists. CUVS is a rapidly growing specialty and emergency center located in downtown Stamford, Connecticut, along Fairfield County's "Gold Coast" and less than an hour from Manhattan. CUVS has board-certified specialists in emergency-critical care, internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, and oncology. In addition, several of CUVS' specialists are experts in the interventional radiology and minimally-invasive procedures. The Internal Medicine department has all the tools, technology and staff for optimum patient care. The department is currently staffed by 2 full-time and 1 part-time internist, a talented and experienced nursing staff, and a client liaison. We are fully equipped with routine in-house lab, COP, TEG, flexible and rigid endoscopy, digital radiology, ultrasound, CT, and C-arm fluoroscopy. We have an exceptional client base with a large and diverse caseload. The Internal Medicine department is supported by strong interdepartmental collaboration, including a seven day/week criticalist-staffed ICU and an ER staffed by experienced emergency clinicians. Our sophisticated infrastructure, technology and training enable maximum efficiency and concierge services, facilitating remarkable client and veterinarian satisfactions. While our focus is on patient care and client service, our specialists also have opportunities to pursue teaching or clinical research through our affiliation with Cornell.
