The Department of Clinical Sciences at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants to fill a 12-month appointment, and depending upon experience, qualifications and interest, the successful candidate may be appointed to either tenure-track or non-tenure track position in Oncology. Consider joining a multi-disciplinary clinical team that provides diagnostic and therapeutic oncology for approximately 2500 medical, surgical, and radiation patients each year. The oncology service is currently composted of two board-certified oncologists (medical and surgical), a board-certified radiation oncologist, two medical oncology residents, one radiation oncology resident, and three dedicated technicians. Qualified applicants must hold a DVM or equivalent degree, have completed oncology residency training recognized by the ACVIM specialty of Oncology and be a Diplomate of the ACVIM (Oncology) or ECVIM (Oncology), or qualified to sit for the certifying examination in this specialty. Veterinary Microscopic Anatomists. Two full-time tenure track faculty positions. Department of Anatomy, Physiology, and Pharmacology. Minimum qualifications for these positions include a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences and/or DVM, and a successful postdoctoral training. The candidates selected must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment; excellent communication skills are required. We are especially interested in applicants who have experience teaching Microscopic Anatomy. Successful candidates will participate in team-taught instruction of Veterinary Microscopic Anatomy, and contribute in graduate courses. The Clinical Sciences Department of Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) is seeking candidates for the position of Director of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH). The successful applicant reports directly to the Head of the Department of Clinical Sciences and sits on the CVM Executive Committee along with Chairs of academic departments, Director of Scott-Ritchey Research Center and Associate and Assistant Deans. The Director provides the vision and leadership required to ensure the VTH remains a high-caliber service-oriented unit that fulfills its mission in professional service and support of teaching and research.
