Agent Specific Submission Guidelines

Susceptibility Information

The Microbiology laboratory of KSVDL provides high quality diagnostic bacteriology and mycology services to practicing veterinarians, the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, researchers and industry. This is an AAVLD accredited laboratory.

Services include:

  • aerobic and anaerobic culture for isolation and identification of bacterial and fungal pathogens.
  • antimicrobial susceptibility testing for pathogens of veterinary significance.
  • ELISA-based detection of Clostridium difficile toxins and Clostridium perfringens enterotoxin.
  • culture for multiple species of Mycoplasma spp.
