Protein Expression
Total protein is isolated
and quantified by fluorescence spectrophotometry (NanoOrange,
Invitrogen). Alternatively, proteins are isolated by
immunoprecipitation.
Protein expression is analyzed by Western blotting or
confocal immunohistochemistry. Protein expression in Western
blots is quantified against actin or tubulin.
Glycoproteins are identified by differences in mobility
before and after enzymatic deglycosylation.
