Radiographic Findings:
Survey radiographs: Right
Lateral and Ventrodorsal
The gastric axis appears normal in position. Multiple curved smoothly
marginated mixed soft tissue gaseous opacity objects are located within
the fundus and body of the stomach. The material within the stomach
occupies a good portion of the hollow viscera. Further evaluation of the
abdomen reveals normal appearing abdominal structures.
Additional view: Left Lateral
Borders of the foreign material can be distinguished from the stomach
wall as a result of gas present within the stomach. Multiple variable
length and thickness gas distended segments of bowl are present
immediately caudal to gastric axis. It appears that the foreign material
is contained within the stomach and does not extend into the pylorus or
descending duodenum. Further evaluation of the abdomen reveals normal
appearing abdominal structures. (P= pylorus, D=duodenum)
