Checking a dog's ears for irregularities

 

A veterinary dermatologist is veterinarian who has undergone specialized training in the area of skin disorders and is Board Certified by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. The dermatologist works with and is supported by other services such as pathology, internal medicine, oncology and surgery to help diagnose and treat skin disorders.

Some of the disorders your pet may need to see a dermatologist for include:
Infectious skin diseases
Non-infectious skin diseases
Auto-immune diseases
Allergy skin diseases
Parasitic skin disease
Cancer of the skin
