Position available Nov 1 for a full time veterinarian in a four person mixed practice in Marshfield Missouri.  Marshfield is a southwest Missouri county seat town of around 6500 and is 20 miles east of Springfield (pop. around 170,000).
The practice is approximately 65% small animal and 35% large (food animal, equine and exotics).  We are a well equipped practice with Idexx digital x-ray, in house blood work (Idexx) and ultrasound for small and large animal. We also have in house progesterone testing for our canine reproductive practice.  A 2016 company truck and vet box will be available for ambulatory work.  We do a significant portion of our large animal in our well equipped haul in facility with a hydraulic tilt chute.  
   We have a competent and dedicated support staff to make our busy days more enjoyable and less stressful. Six out of seven of our full time employees have been with us for over 6 years.  We also have a favorable 5 day/wk schedule with a 3 day weekend every third week.  
   We would prefer a mixed animal general practitioner willing and able to do large and small animal emergency work and interested in a permanent position with potential for buy-in,  but would consider a small animal specialist.  Salary would be commensurate with experience and ability but would be at or above going rate.  Benefit package would include health, liability, licensing, AVMA & MVMA membership and continuing education benefits and paid vacation.

Assistant Service Director for Certified Semen Services (CSS) and Assistant Technical Director National Association of Animal Breeders (NAAB)

The Association:    
The National Association of Animal Breeders (NAAB) is located in Columbia, Missouri and is the national trade association for businesses in the United States involved with artificial insemination of cattle.  NAAB works directly with USDA, U.S. Embassies, appropriate Government Ministries and other global agencies to open and maintain trade access for bovine semen throughout the world.  U.S. genetic improvement programs have developed several breeds that are highly productive and are internationally recognized for their outstanding characteristics.  This has allowed steady growth of the U.S. AI industry.

Certified Semen Services, Inc. (CSS), a wholly owned subsidiary of NAAB, provides industry self-regulation through an objective auditing service for sire and semen identification, sire health testing, and semen quality control.

The Assistant Service Director will work closely with the CSS Service Director to carry out the business of the Association with a primary focus on auditing programs and services as well as technical aspects of the association.  The location of the position is flexible based on the candidate’s circumstances.

Major duties:
¿    Perform unannounced on-site audits (travel required) and prepare written reports on findings with respect to compliance with the CSS Agreement and programs
¿    Identify, evaluate and engage new opportunities for expanding CSS services to AI companies both domestically and internationally
¿    Work closely with USDA-APHIS developing import and export requirements for bovine semen
¿    Collaborate with USDA-APHIS to meet the terms and conditions of the MOU between USDA-APHIS and NAAB/CSS
¿    Administer the Association’s technical programs
¿    Support the Service Director and President in carrying out Association business

¿    Experience in the AI industry required
¿    A DVM degree or a Ph.D. degree or Master’s degree in Animal Science or Dairy Science is preferred
¿    Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer skills (MS office, etc.)
¿    An outstanding record of achievement and leadership in the cattle industry with the desire and ability to take on additional responsibilities within the Association over time
