Applying for Admission
KSU applications are available June 1 to October 1, 2013.
A complete KSU application consists of:
- Completed VMCAS online application (http://www.aavmc.org)
DUE by 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time on October 2, 2013
- KSU Supplemental Application Packet which includes:
Completed KSU supplemental application form
Transcripts from ALL colleges and universities attended (in sealed envelopes)
Non-refundable $50 USD application processing fee made payable to College of Veterinary Medicine (International applicants must submit a cashiers check or money order in the amount of $50 USD.)
Photocopy of GRE score report (official GRE scores must also be sent from ETS to institutional code 6334 and departmental code 0617)
We will accept GRE scores from both the “old” GRE test (taken before Aug 1, 2011) and the “new” revised GRE test (taken after Aug 1, 2011). GRE scores must be submitted with your supplemental application by October 1, 2013. We will accept updated scores until December 1, 2013.
Note: Applicants completing ALL of the prerequisite courses for the DVM degree program at Kansas State University are not required to submit GRE scores. The academic ranking of these applicants is based on the GPA of the prerequisite science courses for the DVM degree program.
Applicants must apply through VMCAS (http://www.aavmc.org) AND also must complete the KSU supplemental application. When completing the VMCAS application you will be required to submit three evaluations. These evaluations must be from a veterinarian, your advisor or a professor, and from another person who is not related to you.
KSU SUPPLEMENTAL APPLICATION (Available June 1 - October 1)
The KSU supplemental application form must be completed, printed and mailed along with a non-refundable $50 (USD) processing fee made payable to the KSU College of Veterinary Medicine, official transcripts of all college work in sealed envelopes, and a copy of your GRE scores. The supplemental material must be placed in ONE envelope and mailed to Office of the Associate Dean for Admissions, K-State College of Veterinary Medicine, 101 Trotter Hall, Manhattan, KS 66506, postmarked no later than October 1, 2013.
You should have your official GRE scores sent directly to our office by designating the Institutional Code of 6334 and the Department Code of 0617. In addition, you must include a photocopy of the GRE score report that you receive when you submit the supplemental packet.
It is acceptable for your official transcripts to be marked “issued to student” as long as they are received in a sealed university envelope.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
