Conference Objectives
The Equine Reproduction Conference for Practitioners is designed to provide veterinarians current information which will update and increase their knowledge/skills on reproductive management of mares/stallions and on provision of adequate neonatal care for high risk foals. Extensive hands-on experience will be provided on semen collection, proper semen handling, evaluation and preparation for shipment, low dose insemination techniques, evaluation of high risk pregnancies and fetal biophysical profile. In addition, in light of the last outbreak and cases reported of Equine Viral Arteritis (EVA) in New Mexico, Utah, Oklahoma and Kansas, a discussion on prevention and control of EVA will be included this year.

Conference Wet Labs
Conference participants will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in each of the following wet labs:
• Stallion handling and semen collection over a teaser mare and over a phantom
• Semen evaluation, preparation and packaging for shipping
• Deep horn insemination
• Fetal biophysical profile
