Get a behind-the-scenes tour of Manhattan’s Sunset Zoo. The
bus leaves from the SOUTH entrance of the Student Union at
2:30 pm and returns to the Union at 4:00 pm. Register to
attend using the Conference Registration Form
K-State CVM graduates from the years 2001-2005 along with
their families are invited to participate in a scavenger
hunt. The hunt begins at 3:30 pm in the Union Courtyard,
ground floor. Refreshments will be provided.

The Centennial Plaza and Whispering Gardens projects will be
completed this spring and will be open during the Annual
Conference. Be sure to come by and find your brick, paver or
plaque!
Tours of the Veterinary Medical Complex, the Centennial
Plaza and Whispering Gardens will be available Sunday, June
4, beginning at 2:15 pm and ending at 5:30 pm. There will be
transportation to and from the K-State Student Union for the
Sunday tours. The Veterinary Complex tour will begin at
Trotter Hall First Floor Foyer.

A tour of the K-State campus will leave from the SOUTH
entrance of the Union at 2:30 pm on Sunday. A bus for the
tour of the College of Veterinary Medicine will leave the
Union SOUTH entrance at 3:15 pm. The campus tour will end at
the CVM for those wanting to do the CVM tour. Transportation
will be provided back to the Union following each tour.
Two blocks south of the College of Veterinary Medicine, you
can also visit the University Gardens Their expansion plan
is on display and the Visitors Center will be open on Sunday
between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm

be awarded Tuesday evening at the Ice Cream social.

: The K-State Veterinary Medical Alumni
Association will present the Honorary Alumni Recognitions,
Distinguished Alumnus and E. R. Frank Awards. Dr. Todd
McCracken, VMAA President, will facilitate. Certificates of
appreciation will be presented to those executive board
members completing their term of service and new members
will be inducted.
: Dr. Robert Arthur 'Bob' Smith
will receive the College's 2006 Distinguished Alumnus Award
for outstanding achievements and contributions to the
veterinary profession. Dr. Smith received his BS in 1968, MS
in 1970 and DVM in 1976 from K-State.
: Dr. Howard H. Erickson will receive the
College's 2006 E. R. Frank Award for meritorious service to
the College and the veterinary profession. Dr. Erickson
received his BS and DVM in 1959 from K-State and a PhD from
Iowa State University in 1966.
