A Day of Developmental Orthopedic Disease in the Horse

This session will present the complete spectrum of Developmental Orthopedic Disease (DOD) in the horse. The session is designed to: 1) review the clinical signs and physical examination findings, 2) demonstrate the diagnostic imaging examinations and techniques, and 3) provide an update on the treatment and prognosis, for all of the disease components that fit underneath the category of DOD in the horse.

Practitioners are encouraged to bring their own radiographic examinations of cases of DOD they would like discussed.

Diagnostic Imaging Demonstration -- Radiology Faculty & Staff
Demos on a live horse for radiographic techniques for the stifle, tarsus and fetlock.

1:00 pm Twenty minute talks followed by ten minute discussion and case interaction on the following DOD complexes:
