KVMA Wellness Screening

Phlebotomists from Peterson Clinical Laboratory will be available on Monday, June 3 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and Tuesday, June 4 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. to collect specimens for Comprehensive Panel, CBC with differential, Brucella Titer, and/or Prostate Specific Antigen. A blood sample for a rabies titer may also be collected for testing at the KSU Rabies Laboratory. Samples collected on Monday morning may have results available Wednesday morning.

The Comprehensive Panel will include: 

Routine chemistries

Calcium

A/G Ratio Total Protein

Chloride

Globulin BUN

Sodium

Albumin Creatinine

Potassium

Glucose CO2

Uric Acid

   
Liver Function    

Alk Phos

AST (SGOT) Bilirubin, Total
Coronary Risk  

Cholesterol, Total

HDL Cholesterol

Triglycerides

LDL Cholesterol (Calculated)
Thyroid Function TSH

For accurate results, conference participants who wish to have the chemistry profile done, should fast for 12 hours prior to the time of testing.

A Complete Blood Count (CBC) with differential can be ordered. An IgG Lyme’s Titer for past exposure titers will be available. CEA (Carcinoma Embryonic Antigen) as a monitor for someone who has had colon cancer will be available.

Checks can be made payable to Peterson Clinical Laboratory, PA, for all testing and/or vaccinations received.

Each participant will receive the results of their Comprehensive Panel and brucella titer via a self-addressed envelope a few days following the completion of the conference. Results of the rabies titer collected after Monday morning will be mailed to the participants by the Diagnostic Laboratory after the conference.
