Location
The registration area will be located in Trotter
Hall, First Floor Foyer, College of Veterinary Medicine, 1700 Denison,
Manhattan, KS
Enter at the Dean’s Office Entrance.
Signs will be posted to direct you to registration and the meeting
rooms.
Parking
A parking permit will be required for Friday,
October 25th by the Campus Parking Department. This permit will be
mailed to you upon receipt of your registration. Please make sure to
hang the permit on your rearview mirror.
A parking permit will not be necessary for Saturday, October 26th.
Parking is available on the west side (off Denison Avenue) and on the east side (off Jardine Drive) of the Veterinary Medical Complex. Do not park in the client parking or reserved stalls as you may get ticketed.
Objectives
This meeting will address the growing national (and international)
shortfall in the numbers of food animal veterinarians. Current student
recruitment trends indicate that this problem will only get worse.
Recent events (FMD, BSE, food safety issues, bioterrorism threats) have
raised valid questions concerning our food animal veterinary
capabilities. If you are an original thinker, an innovator, outcome
oriented and strongly motivated to effect positive change in this area,
you need to attend this conference!
