Objectives
To bring the practitioner up to date regarding the prevention and management of commonly seen emergencies. New therapies will be discussed where applicable and practical.

Guest Speakers
Ruthanne Chun, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM
Assistant Professor, Clinical Oncology
Dr. Chun received her DVM degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship at Cornell University and a residency at Purdue University. She was a clinical instructor in oncology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison before joining KSU faculty in 1997.

Matthew Corse, DVM
Resident, Small Animal Surgery
Dr. Corse received his DVM from University of California-Davis. He completed a small animal internship at Virginia Tech before coming to KSU.

Tara Enwiller, DVM
Resident, Small Animal Surgery
Dr. Enwiller received her DVM from the University of Minnesota. She completed a small animal internship at Oklahoma State University and a surgical internship at Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center before coming to KSU.

Laura Garrett, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM
Assistant Professor, Clinical Oncology
Dr. Garrett received her DVM from the University of Illinois. She completed an internship at the University of Minnesota and then worked in a private referral practice. She next completed a residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, after which she spent 1-1/2 years at a referral practice in New Zealand before joining the KSU faculty.

Gregory Grauer, DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVIM
Department Head, Professor, Internal Medicine
Dr. Grauer received his veterinary degree from Iowa State University in 1978. He completed an internship, residency and a master of science degree at Colorado State University. Dr. Grauer served on the faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for seven years. In 1989, he returned to Colorado State University faculty. Currently, he is the KSU Clinical Sciences Department Head.

Kenneth Harkin, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM
Assistant Professor, Internal Medicine
Dr. Harkin received his DVM from Iowa State University and completed a residency in internal medicine at Michigan State University. He was in a private referral practice for three years before joining the faculty at KSU in 1997.

Heather Heeb, DVM
Resident, Clinical Oncology
Dr. Heeb received her DVM from KSU. She completed a small animal internship at Texas A&M before joining the KSU faculty as an oncology resident in the department of Clinical Sciences.

Chantale Pinard, DVM
Resident, Ophthalmology
Dr. Pinard received her DVM from the University of Guelph, Canada. She was in private practice for four years before completing a small animal internship at the University of Guelph. She is currently a third year ophthalmology resident.

Maryann Radlinsky, DVM, Diplomate ACVS
Assistant Professor, Small Animal Surgery
Dr. Radlinsky received her DVM from Cornell University and completed a residency at Texas A&M. She was in private practice in Pittsburgh, PA before joining the KSU faculty in 1998.

Tom Schermerhorn, VMD, PhD, Diplomate ACVIM
Assistant Professor, Internal Medicine
Dr. Schermerhorn received his VMD from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed an internship at South Shore Veterinary Associates and a residency at Cornell University. His PhD is also from Cornell University.
